Day 19 Nettuno to Arricia

The usual chaotic start to the day. All packed and ready to leave our accommodation except the front gate is locked and the keys to the gate are locked inside our room.

We managed to escape and cycled a couple of miles in the wrong direction with Kevin and Wendy arguing. The issue was resolved through family therapy and both remained compatible for the rest of the journey.

We could have had a bath at the Cathedral but we had a mountain to climb. A bath afterwards would have been preferable.

We climbed and climbed. It was hot and we leaked from every pore. Where is the pilgrims bath when you need it?

Dinner tonight was at our host’s Osteria. It was delicious local food.

In our apartment we have a large projector and screen to watch films. Plus mood lighting. But too tired to watch anything after the big climb and can’t see anything when the mood lighting is on.

We have a plan for tomorrow. We are going to Rome. Can someone point us in the right direction please? We are too tired to sort out the route ourselves tonight.

Charlie has made some useful suggestions, but we have to check first whether they include a tunnel.
