We are in midge country. Jungle juice v Smidge. Yesterday decided to do a controlled trial. Jungle juice one side of the body and Smidge on the other. Result no bites. The 16mph winds may have been more effective than the insect repellents. The trial continues.

An early night as we prepare to ride up to the Scottish ski resort tomorrow. It is going to be hot and hilly. The cold weather gear for the journey north remains in the suitcase. Oh dear. Perhaps it is unwise to write that.
